Despite the anticipated exclusion at Kentucky's Fancy Farm Extravaganza, Libertarian Senatorial Candidate David Patterson continues to appeal to disenfranchised voters. Patterson who's campaign has limited funds has earned honorable mention in more than several reputable publications due to respectable polling and independent support. |
In a recent press release, Libertarian Party of Kentucky Chair Ken Moellman announced "We now have almost 9,000 raw signatures in our possession. We're still validating the petitions, but we're confident, based on the math, that we're well over the minimum of 5,000 signatures – we're actually at about 6,000 valid signatures." Kentucky law provides that Democrats and Republicans need only to collect 2 signatures to be on the ballot, all other candidates must collect a minimum of 5,000 signatures. The deadline for submission is August 12 which is ample time for Kentucky Libertarians to complete petition validation now that active petitioning has cease. If all goes as plained Senatorial Candidate David Patterson will file his papers on August 11 officially entering the race.

I hope you are on the ballot. I have been a republican (consevative) since I started voting in except one horrible mistake of voting for Jimmy Carter. I am a Christian & he got my vot because he was a Christian or so he said. I misunderstood that not all Christians thought in the same way. I reckon having been brought up as a conservative & Christian I made an bad assumption. I now have moved to being a conservative libertaian. As long as you have the principles & values of the constitution you will have my vote. We tried to unseat McConnell but his money & encumbancy were impossible to overcome. You have an almost impossible uphill battle ahead if you are on the ballot. I pray for your victory. My husband & I are interested in what your message & platform is. Where can we find out what you believe in & what you are running on. Please e-mail the web site to us. Thank you very much.

I also voted for Jimmy Carter in 1976 and it was not a mistake, he was the last president to hold our deficit under $1 trillion, then the Republicrats came along. I am proud to say I voted against every Republicrat and for third parties from 1980 on. I will proudly vote for David Patterson in this election.
